There is a famous story from the time of the holy Baal Shem Tov, where a terrible plague struck the town of Mezibush. People of all ages fell ill, and the community leaders turned to the Holy Baal Shem Tov, asking him to pray for their salvation.

The Baal Shem Tov responded that their fate lay in their hands. Only through UNITY and the creation of a new Torah scroll could they be spared. The healthy ones quickly began raising the funds, and the Baal Shem Tov’s personal Sofer (scribe) began to write the Torah. As the Torah was being written, something miraculous happened: the sick began to heal. By the time the Torah was completed, everyone had recovered. This scroll became known as the "Miracle Sefer Torah."

Baruch Hashem, we are commencing the writing of a Sefer Torah in honor of Chaim Meyer Tzvi ben Mariasha Malka. The story above teaches us that the community’s unity was the key to their healing. We have seen that same unity in the communities of Dallas, Brazil, Israel, France, and beyond. Chaim Meyer will get better.
